About Us

 Silent Book Club ® is a global community of readers, with nearly 2000 chapters in 55+ countries around the world led by local volunteers. SBC members gather in public at bars, cafés, bookstores, libraries, and online to read together in quiet camaraderie. 

Silent Book Clubs meet in person at least once a month. This chapter plans to meet the last Thursday of every month unless otherwise noted. We spend the first half-hour socializing and grabbing drinks/food, then we start an hour of silent reading, and we finish with a half-hour talking about what we read. 

The Ponderosa Academy Chapter will always meet at our school. We want to support local businesses and so each month there may be a hosting business come in with their displays.

Bring your current read, a friend, or come alone! Sometimes we will have book swaps so keep an eye out for any book swapping events.  Although we will have refreshments available for donation, we don't mind if that mug has your own drink in it!

No! You may read, do homework, draw, color, or any other quiet activity! Our events are aimed at giving parents and caregivers a fun, low energy night off.
